About us

Who we are

The Women’s Centre is a safe place for all women to learn, grow and get support in a non-judgmental way. We were established in 1989 to support the transition of women leaving shelters and have focused on empowering women to be their best selves ever since. We believe that all women deserve to be treated with respect and compassion, and empowering women is at the root of our philosophy and mandate.

What we do

We are often the first place women come to when they are searching for a fresh start. With this core value, we provide a wide range of services and programs to empower women in their journey and increase their options, such as:

Strategic planning

We aim to be exemplary leaders in the development and delivery of quality programs and services to benefit women. We partner with other organizations to provide a cohesive response and to increase the access of our clients.
