Halton Community Legal Services is a legal clinic that has been providing high quality legal assistance to low-income individuals in the Halton community for over 40 years. They provide free legal assistance in areas of law which particularly affect low-income individuals or disadvantaged communities, such as legal matters related to housing and shelter, employment standards, income maintenance, entitlement to social assistance and other similar government programs. In addition to providing services to people one at a time, they educate the public about their legal rights and work to improve laws that build a more equitable and just society.
