On January 16th, The Women’s Centre of Halton will host a webinar led by local family law lawyer Thijiba Sinnathamby. In this webinar, she will:
Thijiba Sinnathamby is a lawyer who provides legal services and a consultant who provides training on family law, issues related to intimate partner violence, racism and the justice system. Thijiba delivers workshops on navigating family law issues, is an author of several legal toolkits and the lead trainer for Ontario’s Family Court Support Worker Program, providing both in-person and online training and support for frontline workers who assist women who have been subjected to violence in family court.
Her practice focuses on family law, including negotiating and drafting marital contracts, cohabitation agreements and separation agreements, as well as providing advice on decision-making and parenting time disputes. Thijiba also practices estate planning and estate administration and acts as section 3 counsel for incapable persons. Thijiba regularly appears before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice.
