About the Workshop:
Join Nichelle and Kevin on July 15th at Trafalgar Sports Park for a 3-hour action packed Self Defense Class!
This Class will focus on:
Bring a waterbottle and be prepared for some partner work (you do not need to bring a partner with you, you will be matched up with someone else in the group)!
Meet Nichelle:
Nichelle Laus is All About Changing Lives.
Growing up, Nichelle experienced unspeakable traumas that impacted every aspect of her life. With nowhere to turn, Nichelle took it upon herself to learn how to fight and turned to kickboxing and boxing resulting in competing in the amateur circuit.
This desire to not only protect herself, but also those around her, naturally lead her into a career in policing.
After 15 years of protecting her community as a Police Officer, Nichelle left her career to pursue her love of fitness. Except this time, instead of focusing on her kickboxing and boxing past (which she had retired from once she began her family), she found her passion helping women transform not only physically but emotionally, physiologically, and mentally via her online presence and personal training studio, OTC Toronto.
Unfortunately, as a result of the pandemic, OTC Toronto was forced to close. But like the fighter she is, Nichelle was ready to pivot.
Now, she has returned to her roots and her purpose is to keep the community safe, only in a different way than before. She co-owns an emergency services tactical supply shop and shares her story, her passion for health and wellness, and safety tips via motivational speeches, self-defense seminars, tv specials and social media content.
Because of how many paths Nichelle has taken in her life, she is well rounded and can relate to many people. She is an athlete, a mom of 4 boys, an entrepreneur, a tv personality, and a social media influencer boasting an organic 1.1 million followers on her verified TikTok account.
Meet Kevin:
Nichelle instructs these Self-Defense classes with a male partner, Kevin. Kevin also served as a Police Officer for 30 years, and was the instructor for the defensive tactics programs at various police services. He has 3 black belts in different styles of Martial Arts, and has run self-defense classes all over the province, helping over 10,000 Women and Children across Ontario.
