If you are healing from domestic abuse or from other previous trauma, journalling can be a great method to work through it. Our clinical social worker, Rebecca, finds Rupi Kaur’s ‘Healing Through Words’ prompted journal an amazing option.
Rebecca will be joining us on the second Tuesday of each month to lead a group through this journal.
The journal is split into 4 sections: Hurting, Loving, Breaking, and Healing.
The first three months/sessions of this workshop series (March 8, April 12, and May 10) is open for registration and will all focus on the ‘Hurting’ section of the journal.
Rebecca will begin focusing on the ‘Loving’ section in June; registration for these sessions will open in May.
This workshop series is drop-in, meaning the sessions will build off of one another, but you don’t have to attend each session to benefit.
The journal will be provided to you upon attending your first session.
Goodreads describes Healing Through Words as “a guided tour on the journey back to the self, a cathartic and mindful exploration through writing.
This carefully curated collection of exercises asks only that you be vulnerable and honest, both with yourself and the page.
You don’t need to be a writer to take this walk; you just need to write—that’s all”.
